WordPress: The Next Generation

WordPress: The Next Generation is a talk about emerging technology given at WordCamp US 2015, containing some musings and video dramatizations about sites 5, 20, and 50 years in the future.

Despite the talk being started 15 minutes late due to a faulty VGA cable, I was pretty stunned by the response; many people expressed their excitement for alternative interface devices, software abstractions, and other components of the talk.

There are many less-noticeable elements in the videos. The “contributor-mesh” used by Aaron Jorbin, for example, is actually a sphere of WP logos:
